Why Do I Need to Be Creative?

Why breathe? Why live? Why laugh? Why do the things you do?

Creativity is the natural expression of the flow of your life. You don’t have to do anything to become  creative. Whether you think about it or not, whether you agree with it or not, whether you express it or not, you are creative. Every human being is. Because creativity is the very fragrance of life. You just need to recognize it, and start celebrating it!

No progress is possible on the planet earth without the creativity of human beings. There was a time when man lived in the caves and ate whatever he could find. Then someone had a brainwave and decided to play with stones, and voila! You have fire! Then, someone decided to put together sticks in a way different from what had been done, and you have something called a “wheel”.

Do I need to explain more?

Would you call the first human being who created the wheel an engineer first or a creative human being first?

You can call him anything, and that is just going to be his calling in life. What space he operates from is the reflection of who he really is in life. And each human being is creative, at the end of the day.

So you don’t need to do anything to become creative. You just need to allow yourself to express and let your creativity flow through you.

Now, many might have the question, “How will that happen? How does creativity flow through me?”

The answer is simpler than you might think. It is your very ideas about yourself and creativity that can stop creativity from flowing through you! Look in. What are the things you believe about yourself? Pen them down. If somewhere you don’t believe you are truly creative, you can never really express creativity. You may even do artsy stuff, but that will not be creativity. That will just be something you manufactured, not something you created.

As a first step, we need to first recognize that each and every person is creative. It is simply a question of identifying what is the hurdle in experiencing and expressing that dimension of you.
