04 Jun How Chris Cornell Died: What You Need to Know
How Chris Cornell died is no longer a mystery – or so it appears.
Appearances can be deceptive.
It doesn’t take any brains – or an autopsy report – to see that Chris Cornell died by hanging.
The sequence of events leading to the singer’s death, clearly includes his mentioning having taken “an extra Atvian or two,” as per the Rolling Stone magazine:
After signing some autographs outside the Fox, Cornell went to his hotel room, where he spoke to his wife, Vicky, on the phone. “I noticed he was slurring his words; he was different,” she said in a statement issued May 19th. “When he told me he may have taken an extra Ativan or two, I contacted security and asked that they check on him.” Soundgarden bodyguard Martin Kirsten kicked in the hotel-room and bedroom doors – both were locked – and found Cornell “with blood running from his mouth and a red exercise band around [his] neck,” according to a police report.
Cornell had a prescription for Ativan, an anxiety medication that has been used by recovering addicts. Adverse reactions, especially in higher doses, include drowsiness, mood swings, confusion and thoughts of suicide. In a 1994 Rolling Stone interview, Cornell confessed to being “a daily drug user at 13” and quitting at 14. But there were subsequent battles with alcohol and substance abuse, which led Cornell to check himself into rehab in 2002. Tankian attests to Cornell’s sobriety in recent weeks: At the Elton John party, Cornell joined in a champagne toast – raising his glass – but did not drink.
My question to all the news forums and reports that are asserting that “drugs did not cause the death as per the autopsy report. Suicide by hanging is confirmed to be the cause of death” is –
What caused the hanging?
Depression doesn’t kill people. Pills do.
As per the Rolling Stone magazine,
The drugs found in Cornell’s system were “butalbital, lorazepam, pseudoephedrine and its metabolite norpseudoephedrine, caffeine, and naloxone.” The caffeine came from No-Doz tablets the singer ingested prior to his death, while the pseudoephedrine was employed as a decongestant.
His wife, Vicky Cornell, had suspected something was amiss, she said Friday.
“Many of us who know Chris well, noticed that he wasn’t himself during his final hours and that something was very off,” she told USA TODAY in a statement. “We have learned from this report that several substances were found in his system. After so many years of sobriety, this moment of terrible judgment seems to have completely impaired and altered his state of mind.”
Ativan was mentioned by both his wife Vicky and their attorney Kirk Pasich in their statements following Cornell’s death. Pasich wrote, “Some medical literature indicates that Ativan can cause paranoid or suicidal thoughts, slurred speech and impaired judgment.”
If it were so authentically true that anti-depressants are really needed, and are useful, why would taking an extra one or two cause death? Why would you take any medication that can cause death, to save yourself from death?
Answer is simple, I think. Because you don’t know it can cause death!
If he did have an overdose of the medication in his system, which can cause confusion and thoughts of suicide, and if it is fairly obvious that he died by hanging, why are the two dots not being connected?
Is it not obvious by now that he did indeed kill himself under the influence of the an anti-depressant?
What reason or motivation could the media possible have for not saying this out loud? I wonder.
This post is not to mourn his death. He is already gone. Mourning is for those who have given up.
This post is to question why he is gone, and if the world will still buy the lies of antidepressants and anxiety drugs and keep dying by hanging or will the world wake up now.
The pharma industry is not here to give you your life back. It is here to keep you barely alive as long as you can pay them. You are their buyers & customers, not their patients. If they heal you completely, they lose money.
Please wake up & take stock of what you are ingesting in the name of medication. Don’t pop that pill for everything from a sneeze to chronic anxiety. Everything can be healed without taking drugs that kill you.
