Whatever it Takes

Many people want to be heroes. But few are ready to do what it takes. Because real life is neither glamorous, nor does anyone shower flowers on you for your small, everyday achievements. But it matters, because it is a part of your mission.

Doing whatever it takes doesn’t mean breaking yourself, it means setting new boundaries to your capacity to do something. It means redefining your limits. It means trying new methods, reinventing when you hit the wall, it means growing and changing as a person, it means dropping your own beliefs about yourself which hold you back. It means getting out of your own way.

Doing what it takes has less to do with the external world and actions, and more to do with your inner wiring. Are you giving default responses or are you ready to make a shift? Are you aware of what has failed you in the past? Or are you working in an automated mode?

To do what it takes, you need to first introspect, and rewire your own self, dump the entire BS past, and write a new future from where you stand now, without any shame, guilt or embarrassment for whatever happened earlier.

When you remember the highest Truth, and your highest possibility–that you are Divine–nothing is “impossible.” So everything is nothing but manifestation, liquidation of possibilities already contained in you. You have just not lived it till now, that’s all. Then nothing is complicated or un-doable. When you drop all ideas of fame, defame, prestige, opinions, and just do what is right, the Cosmos goes out of its way to support your growth and transformation, and lets you know that it is supporting you.

Have always loved this song which (sort of) resonates this sentiment:

Whatever It Takes–Imagine Dragons

Falling too fast to prepare for this
Tripping in the world could be dangerous
Everybody circling, it’s vulturous
Negative, nepotist

Everybody waiting for the fall of man
Everybody praying for the end of times
Everybody hoping they could be the one
I was born to run, I was born for this

Whip, whip
Run me like a racehorse
Pull me like a ripcord
Break me down and build me up
I wanna be the slip, slip
Word upon your lip, lip
Letter that you rip, rip
Break me down and build me up

Whatever it takes
‘Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins
I do whatever it takes
‘Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains
Whatever it takes
You take me to the top I’m ready for
Whatever it takes
‘Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins
I do what it takes

Always had a fear of being typical
Looking at my body feeling miserable
Always hanging on to the visual
I wanna be invisible

Looking at my years like a martyrdom
Everybody needs to be a part of ’em
Never be enough, I’m the prodigal son
I was born to run, I was born for this

Whip, whip
Run me like a racehorse
Pull me like a ripcord
Break me down and build me up
I wanna be the slip, slip
Word upon your lip, lip
Letter that you rip, rip
Break me down and build me up

Whatever it takes
‘Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins
I do whatever it takes
‘Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains
Whatever it takes
You take me to the top, I’m ready for
Whatever it takes
‘Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins
I do what it takes

Hypocritical, egotistical
Don’t wanna be the parenthetical, hypothetical
Working onto something that I’m proud of, out of the box
An epoxy to the world and the vision we’ve lost
I’m an apostrophe
I’m just a symbol to remind you that there’s more to see
I’m just a product of the system, a catastrophe
And yet a masterpiece, and yet I’m half-diseased
And when I am deceased
At least I go down to the grave and die happily
Leave the body and my soul to be a part of thee
I do what it takes

Whatever it takes
‘Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins
I do whatever it takes
‘Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains
Whatever it takes
You take me to the top, I’m ready for
Whatever it takes
‘Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins
I do what it takes
