The Zone of No Conflict

All problems in life start with conflicts – conflicts in conversations, conflicts in execution, conflicts in thinking, conflicts in what you want.

All doubt starts with conflict. Self doubt starts with conflict between what you believe you are capable of. Doubting others starts with conflict in your perception of what they are capable of – either for good or for bad.

Whenever we fail to have what we want in life, there is a conflict hidden inside somewhere. It could be a conflict between what you want, and whether you truly believe it to be good for you or not, or a conflict between what you want and whether you believe you can have it or not.

Every conflict is the source of stress, anxiety, anything that stops us from experiencing LIFE itself. The secret of “happiness,” the proverbial secret sauce, is not something too elusive. It is a life without conflict, c’est tout!

Sometimes the conflict is between emotions, or between your head and your heart. Invariably, we end up choosing the head, because we are conditioned to think that “logical” choices are the best. But that is rarely so. In matters of the head, choices are best made with logical reasoning. In matters of the heart, it’s the heart that needs to be lent an ear.

I have found that the best way to reach the zone of no conflict, or just “the zone” as I like to call it, is just by giving listening to everything going on inside you. Just to face it without any conclusions, decisions or judgement. Patience and listening with yourself, spending a little time with yourself is required. Conflict persists because we have not accepted the warring ideas, thoughts, emotions inside us. Not acknowledged everything that is claiming our attention. As long as we don’t give awareness to anything in our inner space, it continues to exist. The moment we bring awareness to something, it ceases to exist, or loses its hold on our minds.

When you reach the zone, there is no question about whether you will have what you want or not. It is not that you get a direct answer. But rather, all doubts evanesce, hence the question itself vanishes!

I have forgotten how or why, but this song popped this idea in my head. One of the juiciest songs I like!

I Want You

Savage Garden

Anytime I need to see your face I just close my eyes
And I am taken to a place
Where your crystal minds and magenta feelings
Take up shelter in the base of my spine
Sweet like a chica-cherry cola
I don’t need to try to explain
I just hold on tight and If it happens again
I may move so slightly to the arms
And the lips and the face
Of The Human Cannonball that
I need to I want to

Come stand a little bit closer
Breathe in and get a bit higher
You’ll never know what hit you when
I get to you
Ooh I want you, I don’t know if I need you but
Ooh I’d die to find out
Ooh I want you, I don’t know if I need you but
Ooh I’d die to find out

I’m the kind of person who endorses a deep commitment
Getting comfy getting perfect is what I live for
But a look and then a smell of perfume
It’s like I’m down on the floor
And I don’t know what I’m in for

Conversation has a time and place in the interaction
Of a lover and a mate but the time of talking
Using symbols, using words can be likened
To a deep sea diver who is swimming with a raincoat

Come stand a little bit closer
Breathe in and get a bit higher
You’ll never know what hit you when
I get to you
Ooh I want you, I don’t know if I need you but
Ooh I’d die to find out
Ooh I want you, I don’t know if I need you but
Ooh I’d die to find out
Ooh, ah
Ooh, ah

Anytime I need to see your face I just close my eyes
And I am taken to a place
Where your crystal minds and magenta feelings
Take up shelter in the base of my spine
Sweet like a chica cherry cola
I don’t need to try to explain
I just hold on tight and If it happens again
I may move so slightly to the arms
And the lips and the face
Of The Human Cannonball that
I need to I want to
